To kick off 2024, we sat down with Advance Casper’s newest member, Jonathan Boudreaux of Black Hills Energy, to gain insight into not only the efforts behind the region’s leading energy company, but how they have a greater impact in the Casper community.
Q: Where is Black Hills Energy rooted?
“Starting in 1883, Black Hills Energy now serves 1.3 million customers in eight states including Wyoming. Our home office is in Rapid City, SD with a Wyoming Corporate office in Cheyenne.”
Q: How does BHE enrich the lives of others through energy & have a greater impact on the community?
“Communities need an energy partner that’s always looking ahead. We build strong partnerships with diverse suppliers and contractors to offer customers and businesses safe and reliable energy service. In addition to our service offerings, Black Hills Energy works to be a partner on community projects and initiatives which support citizens across the state.”
Q: Tell us more about how Black Hills Energy contributes to economic development in Casper?
“As Casper grows, Black Hills Energy will continue to be a partner in expansion and development of the community. We’re proud to be a part of the thriving business landscape that makes up Central Wyoming.”
Q: What’s ahead for BHE in 2024?
“We’re always moving and growing and making upgrades to our systems. Approximately 2 M in upgrades are planned for the Casper area in 2024.”
Black Hills Energy offers energy efficiency audits, conservation information and tricks and tips customers can use to manage their energy usage. Their helpful videos and information let customers take action to use their energy to their advantage, including budget billing.
