Q: What does JJM Group Hotels’ presence look like in Casper?

“JJM Group Hotels owns and operates: the Hampton Inn and Suites Casper, The Candlewood Suites Casper, Dennys, and the Hampton Inn and Suites in Douglas. Beyond providing rooms to the city for business travelers, our presence in Casper revolves around our involvement in many different organizations. First off, our team holds a strong community partnership with Proud to Host the Best. PTHTB ensures that the city continues to host state sports tournaments in the heart of Wyoming which is beneficial to local business and economic development. Not only do I sit on the board, but our General Manager, Tammi Chappell, heads the food and beverage committee. In addition to this we have GM’s that are Chamber Ambassadors and Rotarians. Above all, we encourage our managers to volunteer their time and give back to the community when they can.”

Q: How does JJM Group Hotels enrich the lives of others & have a greater impact on the community?

“With our current portfolio of hotels, JJM Group Hotels employs 60 to 75 individuals in Casper (and an addition 20-25 in Douglas). Beyond boosting the workforce, we ensure that we are doing our part to support tourism in Natrona County as it is a huge contributor to our business. We promote Casper as a destination on property and enroll our front-line staff in Visit Casper’s Certified Tourism Ambassador classes so they feel prepared to support and serve all our out-of-town visitors.

Continuing education and staying involved is incredibly important to us. We attend Chamber Events, sponsor community events and volunteer when we can. As a group we sit on many boards, such as the Casper Recreation Foundation, the Historic Preservation Commission and the OYD Committee. Truly if it involves tourism,  kids, veterans or cancer research we support it!”

Q: How does your company benefit from doing business in Casper, WY?

“Casper is a great community. The number one question Narender, our owner, is asked is, ‘Why Casper?’ His response has always been the people.“

Q: What’s ahead in 2024/2025? What does this next chapter of expansion hold for you & Casper’s growth?

“We have broken ground on a 100 room Hyatt Place that we plan to open in 2025. This will be the first Hyatt in Wyoming, and we are thrilled to be the company bringing the brand to our state.  This project will create at least 20-25 new jobs in the community.  In addition to this we have had numerous conversations with the city about purchasing land in the newly rezoned area, across from the Ford Wyoming Center and Wyo Sports Ranch.  We hope to be a part of the expansion on the hill. We understand that growth in our city doesn’t happen overnight, but we want to support it and be a part of it.”
